Up to £1,000 available to charities to help defend against cyber attacks

A cyber fund is available to help charities and small and medium-sized businesses protect against the most common forms of internet-borne cyber attacks.   Charities that are eligible can apply for up to £1,000, which will support them to achieve the National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

NHS Scotland urged to remove restriction on non-dairy milk

NHS Scotland has been urged to be inclusive of vegans through its Best Start voucher scheme by allowing vouchers to be spent on non-dairy milk and to ensure the vitamin D in any supplements being offered is vegan-friendly.   The Vegan Society has written a formal letter to NHS Scotland about its scheme - to be launched this summer - that allows some pregnant women and parents of young children to claim free vouchers to spend on milk, fruit and vegetables.

Cancer Support Group for Men - Meetings for 2019

The group meets monthly and is for men who have you been affected by cancer, either as a patient or in support of someone else? Why not pop along to the meeting for a chat, or simply listen to the issues that affect men living with cancer.   The purpose of the meetings is to learn from each other in order to improve our physical, emotional and/or financial well-being.

New Leisure Link Partnership secures free access for Leisure members across four areas of Scotland

High Life Highland today announced a new partnership with four other areas of Scotland that will see highlife members able to access free use of leisure facilities outside the Highland region for the first time since the low cost access card was introduced over 15 years ago.   The scheme, involving four other areas will be known as the "Leisure Link Partnership".
