The Rev. Deacon Jacques Cooke - Obituary
The Reverend Deacon Jacques Cooke born 16 December 1924, Roubaix, Northern France: died 25th March 2019, Inverness. James Cooke was the second of five children born to British father (John) and a Belgian mother (Marie-Louise nee Hollebecq), who met on the evening of the 11th November 1918 and married in June 1921.11/4/2019

John O'Groats Mill Trust Receives £348,064
OVER £500,000 FOR FOUR COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP PROJECTS. A sports hall in Easterhouse, a disused mill in John O'Groats, an area of amenity land in Strathpeffer and a stretch of foreshore on the Isle of Skye will soon be in the hands of local people as four community groups receive financial support from the Scottish Land Fund. Announcement of the grants was made by Minister, Cabinet Secretary for Land Reform, Roseanna Cunningham.[History]

A cyber fund is available to help charities and small and medium-sized businesses protect against the most common forms of internet-borne cyber attacks. NHS Scotland urged to remove restriction on non-dairy milk
NHS Scotland has been urged to be inclusive of vegans through its Best Start voucher scheme by allowing vouchers to be spent on non-dairy milk and to ensure the vitamin D in any supplements being offered is vegan-friendly. The Vegan Society has written a formal letter to NHS Scotland about its scheme - to be launched this summer - that allows some pregnant women and parents of young children to claim free vouchers to spend on milk, fruit and vegetables.2/4/2019
