Caithness Calling For Ministers To Come North
A PRESBYTERY in the Highlands is calling on new ministers because retirements are beginning to take their toll on the number of existing preachers. Three Church of Scotland ministers have retired from their churches in Caithness in the last 18 months.1/11/2008

Probationer Teachers Welcomed In The Highlands 2008
Councillor Bill Fernie, Chairman of The Council's Education, Culture and Sport Committee, Drew Miller Vice-chairman and Hugh Fraser, Director of Education, Culture and Sport welcomed 109 probationer teachers, who will be working in Highland schools in the new session, at their induction day in Inverness on Friday 15 August. The new teachers will be started work in schools across the Highlands on Monday (18 August).2/8/2008

Caithness Rabbit Fanciers Association First Show Held At Staxigoe
The overall winner and best in show was a "Continental Giant" an impressively huge rabbit looking in tip top conditions. A big softy this rabbit allowed all of the children and adults to stroke his fur.1/4/2007

The new Scallywags Nursery at Crossroads school, Dunnet has capacity for 15 children and currently has 10. Despite the past couple of years of uncertainty regarding the sustainability of some rural nurseries the committee of Scallywags has shown that it is viable and that there are sufficient children in the area to make use of the facility.28/11/2006
