Therapeutic Toolkit For Children And Young People

A local organisation supporting children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse has received a funding boost thanks to players of a charity lottery.
Caithness & Sutherland Women�s Aid � Children & Young People�s Service was awarded �1,545,00 by People�s Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity, funded entirely by players of People�s Postcode Lottery.
The organisation has used the money to purchase a varied range of therapeutic resources including games, books and toys to help children and young people address their experiences, fears and feelings during 1-1 and group support sessions run by their key support workers.
Sandra Baxter, a Children & Young People�s Support Worker with CASWA stated �this funding is a great boost to our service, enabling us to purchase resources which can be used during support sessions with children and young people to help address difficult issues with them in a non-threatening and child-friendly way.
People�s Postcode Lottery is Britain�s charity lottery. Players play with their postcodes to win cash prizes while raising money for good causes. As a charity lottery, �2 from every monthly lottery ticket charities and community initiatives across England, Scotland and Wales, including People�s Postcode Trust. People�s Postcode Lottery believes in supporting local communities so the money raised by players in each country, stays in that country.
