MSP David Stewart Highlights FREE Eye Tests For Drivers
Highlands & Islands MSP and road safety campaigner David Stewart, in partnership with Macrae & Dick and Tesco Opticians, Inverness, have come together to launch a campaign to highlight that 1 in 6 road collisions may be caused by drivers with poor eyesight. The Group are campaigning for a change in legislation which will mean that new drivers will have to undergo a proper eye examination by a qualified person before they can drive and drivers will require to have their eyesight tested every three years thereafter.5/8/2013
SQA Results 2013 - Strong exam performance by Highland candidates
Exam candidates across the Highlands get their results by text, email or by post this morning (6 August 2013). Overall, the number of S4 pupils in The Highland Council area achieving five grades at level 4 or better has risen by 3.7% to 83.1%, the highest in five years.5/8/2013
