Police in Inverness wish to make the public aware of their concerns regarding bogus callers wishing to obtain particular details of bank and credit cards. It appears these persons are targeting takeaway restaurants in an effort to obtain customer card details.[History]

About 04:20 hours this morning, Sunday 30 March 2014, police received a report of an assault on Shore Lane, Wick, which resulted in a 27 year-old man having to be admitted to Caithness General Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
