YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAMME - CALLS FOR PROPOSALS 2013 The European Commission has announced its call for proposals under the Youth in Action Programme. During 2013 approximately ?180 million will be available to not for profit and statutory organisations to support a wide variety of youth projects.14/1/2013

Caithness Young Farmers Clubs Gain Genersous Donations
THE most northerly YFC on mainland Britain has been given a funding boost from Aberdeen and Northern Marts (ANM). Forss, Halkirk and Bower YFCs in Caithness each received �820, which was raised at the recent 20th anniversary sale held at the Caithness Livestock Centre at Quoybrae.12/1/2013

Caithness Horizons Launch Their �Peter's Pal's�: Young Curator's Club
On 19th and 20th January Caithness Horizons will be launching a new initiative called "Peter's Pals" a Young Curators Club for children aged between 8 and 12 years old. Led by �Peter� the Museum�s mascot who is a Little Penguin (scientific name: Eudyptula minor) and the Museum Curator �Peter�s Pal�s� will meet regularly (once a month apart from at Christmas and during the summer holidays) to investigate the Museum Collection; participate in workshops to learn new skills relating to the Museum�s Collection.10/1/2013

A campaign encouraging women to �Drop a Glass Size� in 2013 has been launched today by Health Secretary Alex Neil.
