NorthLink Ferries Hosts Unique Wildlife Cruise From Stromness
Northern Isles nature lovers are set to experience a trip of a lifetime this Sunday (22 May) in celebration of Orkney Nature Festival. These vary from Maternity where many more mothers in recent times are being sent to Raigmore hospital in Inverness, Lack of consultants, Locum cover, Lack of GP's.

Final preparations in hand to welcome refugees to Highland
Highland Community Planning Partners have confirmed that they are now ready to receive 4 Syrian refugee families to the Highlands in the next few weeks. A working group of officers and volunteers from The Highland Council, Police Scotland, NHS Highland, and Highland Third Sector Interface have been putting final preparations in place for housing, education and health support for the families.15/5/2016

Primary school pupils gear up to become "Safe Young Highlanders"
Hundreds of local primary seven pupils will be looking forward to taking part in the forthcoming ‘Safe Young Highlander' event which is being coordinated by the charity High Life Highland on behalf of The Highland Council, Community Planning Partners and the many other organisations involved. The popular annual event is designed to give the pupils a positive, interactive experience increasing their knowledge in community safety, health and crime prevention.14/5/2016
Applications open to bag a share up to £12,000 for community projects
TESCO are inviting local community groups and good causes to apply for their share of a £12MILLION carrier bag charge fund. The supermarket teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative, which sees grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 - all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to environmental and greenspace projects.

The walk to school needs to be safer to improve our childrens happiness in Scotland
More than half of Scottish parents see a noticeable improvement in their children's happiness after they walk to school, new research has found. National charity Living Streets conducted research with parents of primary school children in Scotland and found that half see an improvement in their child's mood (52%) and behaviour (49%) after they've done physical activity.
