49 ways to help your wildlife - Views sought on New Plan to help Highland Biodiversity
Views are being sought on a new plan to help wildlife across Highland. The draft Highland Biodiversity Action Plan (2015-2020) was drawn up by the Highland Environment Forum, and went out to public consultation today (Monday 3 November).3/11/2014

The story of a medieval Moray abbey, Macphersons in World War I, and the things which people took with them when they left the Highlands are all themes of "My heart's in the Highlands" events in the Highland and Moray Council areas over the next few weeks. Kinloss Abbey, the Clan Macpherson Museum in Newtonmore, Grantown Museum, Strathnaver Museum in Bettyhill, and libraries in Dingwall, Fort William and Wick are all venues for events focusing on Highland history and culture as part of Homecoming 2014.27/10/2014

Lower drink drive limit
New legislation introduced to cut Scotland's drink drive alcohol limit. Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill has introduced an order in Parliament which will mean that, subject to approval, a reduced drink-drive limit will come into effect on December 5, 2014, in time for the festive period.25/10/2014
