CO-OP Launches Good Causes Carrier Bag Funding

Safer cycling and walking to school for north pupils
Pupils at two Sutherland and two Caithness primary schools are to benefit from projects being delivered by The Highland Council through the Scottish Government's Cycling, Walking and Safer Streets (CWSS) programme. Members of The Highland Council's Caithness and Sutherland Area Committee have given their approval for £39,965 CWSS funding for projects at Gledfield, Lochinver, Castletown and Canisbay Primaries.14/9/2015

Wick Waves' - Local Sea Festival
The Highland Council's Countryside Ranger Service, with funding and support from the Highland Seashore Project, have come together with local community groups, organisations and businesses in Wick to run a week of Seashore related events from the 21st to the 26th September. This week of free coastal festivities has been titled Wick Waves and brings artfully together the exploration of the huge diversity of life on the coast; the influence the coast has had on shaping Wick its self and local art, books, food, music and sport.

Big Lottery and Highland Council Funding to Support Digital Inclusion in the Highlands
The Highland Council is partnering with digital participation charity Citizens Online and other local partners to identify and tackle digital inclusion issues in the Highlands, supported by funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
