Stroupster Community Fund

www.foundationscotland.org.uk/programmes/stroupster

The owner of Stroupster Wind Farm, Greencoat UK wind, is contributing £149,500 per annum (index linked) for the operational lifetime of the wind farm to this community fund. The Fund will principally benefit the residents of the Dunnet & Canisbay Community Council area (the Fund area) and aims to support a wide range of projects. Approximately 20% of the Fund is available for projects or services located outside that area, provided there is also clear and evidenced benefit to residents within Dunnet & Canisbay.

The Fund supports a broad range of community activity and development by primarily supporting the charitable activities of constituted, not-for-profit groups working to benefit residents within the Fund area. A Community Panel, made up of people who live in the Dunnet & Canisbay community council area, decides how grants are awarded from the Fund.

Groups and organisations working to benefit people in the area may apply to the Fund. Your group must have a constitution (a governing document or set of rules) and be set up on a not-for-profit basis. It does not need to be a registered charity to apply.
