Salvation Army Thurso
The Salvation Army is an International Christian Church whose beliefs and practices are entirely Bible-based. Our motivation and inspiration is the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ.
Its purpose is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and wherever it can, meet the practical needs of the community. We believe in a balanced ministry where physical and spiritual support are united. Today The Salvation Army is the largest provider of social care in the UK after the state. We have been described by many as ‘Christianity with its’ sleeves rolled up!’
We are a group of very ordinary people from many walks of life - some choose to wear uniform and some do not. However, each of us profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Our worship services are family orientated, relaxed and informal with much musical content.
We currently have an extensive programme of activities in Thurso, catering for people of all ages.
