Words On The Wind - Flim and Poetry by George Gunn

"Words On The Wind" is a film about Caithness featuring the people of Caithness and the poetry of Caithness. The film focuses on a series of poems about specific places, performed by local people and recorded at the locations which inspired them. Caithness as a poetic landscape and "Words On The Wind" celebrates this: it is one big film-poem of Caithness.

Ownership, management, land use, renewable and human energy, as well as the landscape and seascape itself, are the main themes addressed in the film. As Caithness makes the transition from a large atomic installation to the continued development of wind power, the effect on human culture and this change is charted by the people themselves in the communities they live in.

This event will be hosted by George Gunn.
