Castletown Heritage Society's AGM - 26 April
4th April 2022

Castletown Heritage Society's AGM to be held on Tuesday 26th April at 7:30 PM.
This will be our first in person meeting since 2019 so we hope that you will be able to come.
We are delighted to confirm that Duncan Macniven, previously Registrar General for Scotland (Aug 2003 - Aug 2011), has agreed to attend in person as our guest speaker at the AGM on Tuesday 26th April. Hhe is a well known speaker with an approachability and style quite unlike the stereotypical senior civil servant.
Duncan's talk - Castletown's people 1755-2011, will explore what happened to the population of Castletown since records began in the mid-18th century, outlining the demographic history of the area. He promises lots of previously unknown and surprising facts and figures.
The talk looks to be very interesting and pertinent to our area.
We will be voting in the new Committee so anyone who is interested in joining us will be most welcome. However if you feel that being on a committee is not for you but you would like to come along and volunteer we would be very glad of your help. There are always jobs to be done. We also very much appreciate new ideas.
We look forward to seeing you once again. I have attached the poster for the details.
Best Regards
Jayne Blackburn, Treasurer Castletown Heritage Society
