CHAT Gets Headlines In Press and Journal After 3 million miles revelations of patients travelling to Raigmore

Bill Fernie Chairman of Caithness Health Action Team (CHAT) at the Annual NHS Highland review 25 April 2019 open to the public asked the top table of Jeane Freeman MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport , recently appointed chief executive Iain Stewart and chairman Boyd Robertson of NHS Highland if they were aware of how changes over the years had increased patient travel to Raigmore to very high levels.
A rough calculation showed it was in excess of 3 million miles each year now creating hardship for some families and huge inconvenience compared to to a time when more clinics were held in Caithness.
