The Physics of Mountaineering Mon 4th March, Norseman Hotel Wick, 7pm.Alison McLure from the Institute of Physics talks about the science behind mountain safety and mountain rescue.
Tea and coffee and chat to Dr McLure after.

Family Quiz Night Fri 8th March, Norseman Hotel, Wick, 6.30pm
Exercise your brain in a fun family quiz . Prizes and raffle. Teams of up to 6 people.

A presentation by James B. Gunn Information & Knowledge Manager at Dounreay with an exhibition of objects and images.

Presentation by Willie Watt MBE about the Wick Harbour and how renewable energy secures future development for the harbour and locality.

CSI Case Studies Fri 22nd March The Assembly Rooms, Wick, 7.45pm
An illustrated talk with humorous case studies, by Ex -Detective Chief Superintendent Gary Flannigan, head of major crime Scotland. An insight into how forensic evidence including DNA analysis is used to solve crime.

The final day of the Caithness Science Festival - "The Fun Day" gave a chance for listening to talks on various topic and many hands on displays.   The day showed to young people that science can be not only extremely interesting but also fun with the added bonus of a potential career.
