Are you 16 or 17 and looking for something different this summer?
Become a Futureshaper!
Climate change affects your future, so better come to grips with it! Spend a week with peers, having fun, gaining new skills and becoming Futureshapers: You will find out how you can make a difference in your area for the benefit of the local and the global things that matter! Meeting with like-minded others is also a great way to get new ideas and inspiration for things you would like to take on yourself.
The week runs from 14 - 20 July 2017.
During the project you will get the opportunity to plan and prepare a social action project in your local area and help deliver it at a later stage. To set you up for this, there will be workshops, inspirational films, and discussions.
Together with fun activities, games and free time to relax, this all combines into a week full of exciting things to do. At the end you will have laid the groundwork for an exciting activity close to you.
Besides, you get to stay at a brand new residential centre in Forsinard, set amidst typical Flow Country peatlands. The ability to store carbon makes these peatlands a vital defence in the fight against global warming.
Become a Futureshaper and help to deliver an event: It is a great addition to your CV, showing you take your own development seriously. You will receive a certificate of attendance at the end.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
