Theft - Wick Food Bank

Police in Wick are carrying out enquiries following a break-in and theft at the charity food bank on Lower Dunbar Street.

Between 4pm on Sunday 22nd January and 12:15pm yesterday (24th January) entry was forced to the premises and various food items removed.

Area Inspector Nick Clasper said: "Theft of any kind is deplorable but this incident is particularly disappointing in that thieves have chosen to target a charity; run by selfless volunteers to provide support to those in need within our local community.

"We would encourage anyone with information on this incident to report it either to Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111"
