The 27th Annual ploughing match organised by North and West Caithness Ploughing Association took place on Saturday 15th October 2016.

The days was very wet with rain have been on for several hours before the start.

Cancellation is not usually an option as some of the competitors had travelled from Orkney and other places all the way to Inverness.

Despite the wet conditions that may have put off spectators the competition ran perfectly well.
