Winter exhibition - Domestic Artefacts Over Time – Looking at the change in technology in the home as the years have gone by.
Marine Exhibition – Models of ships that carried flagstone from Castlehill, marine charts, artefacts from marine life.

Mondays –

Art class with instruction from Helen Moore.
£8 per evening + materials, Juniors & OAPS £5.

Thursday 22nd January
7.30pm
Talk entitled "The Men Who Went Far Far Away".
Speaker, Ian Leith. This is a talk about the men and women who went to Patagonia in the late 18th – Early 19th Century.

Tuesday 10th February
7.30pm
Talk entitled "Iceland – A Caithness Saga".
Speaker, Neil Buchan. He will talk about his experiences of the culture and archaeological heritage of Iceland.

Friday 20th February
7.00pm
Caithness Astronomy Group
“The Hunter's Hidden Gems”
A tour of the constellation of Orion and other objects.
Friday 13th March

International Year of Light Event.
Caithness Astronomy Group –“Observing and Imaging Eclipses” in preparation for partial solar eclipse on 20th March.

Tuesday 17th March

Talk entitled “Highland Graveyards”.
Speaker Nick Lindsay of Clyne Heritage. This is not just a talk about a list of graveyards but will contain some amusing information.

Tuesday 14th April
7.30pm
Talk entitled “Traditional Icelandic Turf Buildings”.
Talk by Neil Buchan about his hands on experiences at Fornerkaskolinn Heritage Craft School in Iceland and their activities promoting preservation of traditional Icelandic building skills.

Friday 24th April 7.00pm
Caithness Astronomy Group
This is a talk by Pauling Macrea of the Highland Astronomical Society
“The Planet Mercury”

This will include a book launch

Neil Buchan will be holding a workshop on ‘Photography & Light.'

Castlehill will hold its second “Food Fayre” which will include a barbeque.

“North Stone 58º” George Gunn, Master Dry Stone Waller will be holding an event to celebrate drystone walling in Caithness.
