The new Noss Primary school in Wick is being constructed on the former playing field of North Primary school. The new school will have the combined pupils from North and Hillhead primary schools. A new nursery will also be included for pre-school children.
At the same time a new combined 3 - 18 campus is being constructed on the other side of Wick. This will provide new secondary school to replace the existing school and the two primary schools - Pulteneytown Academy and South School.
In addition the site will also have new community facilities comprising library, swimming pool, fitness suite. Outdoors will have the existing all-weather pitch plus new grass pitches. It is now expected the grass pitches will be available by 2018 with the school opeing in 2016.
