Safe Highlanders Day In Caithness

Caithness Safe Highlanders 2014 was attended by primary 7 classes from all the primary schools in Caithness and North Sutherland.
The day provided safety tuition to pupils on a range of topics. Landward councillor Matthew Reiss opened the day and welcomed everyone then helped as a steward for the rest of the day.
The day was made a success with the help of Fire Scotland, Highland council, NHS Youth Action Team, SSPCA, Red Cross, Millers Construction, DSRL, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Fujitsu and pupils from Wick High School.
The topics included, construction site safety, drugs and alcohol, first aid, animal safety, internet safety, safety near water and fire and rescue.
