Save around £470 by cutting your food waste
24th February 2014
Oh crumbs! Did you know that we throw away the equivalent of 2.6 million slices of bread every day? That’s a lot of toast! In fact we waste a fifth of the food we buy in Scotland. But by making a few small changes you could save around £470 a year. And if you recycle the food you can’t use, you’ll help the environment and we’ll all be better off.
So start today by taking some simple steps like:
• Plan your shopping better to get what you really need.
• Recycle food that you can’t use.
