Castlehill Heritage Centre has just been graded by Visit Scotland, and they achieved three stars at their first attempt. Needless to say everyone at Castletown Heritage Society is delighted with the outcome - and they have already set thier sights on a higher target for next year! The grading was revealed by our Chairman, Hugh Crowden, at the Boxing Day Opening.
Currently two exhibitions are running at Castlehill - an exhibition of works by the Castlehill Painting Group, and an exhibition on 'Needles, Shuttles and all' - exploring the fascinating world of sewing, weaving and needlework.
As always, Castlehill Heritage Centre is open throughout the winter, every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm.
Well worth a drive over on these wet and windy days.
