Caithness Heart Support Group Talks

CAITHNESS Heart Support Group featured on Caithness FM charities' slot, recently. Group Vice-chairman Noel Donaldson and member Laird Sutherland talked about the organisation's work in raising funds for medical equipment and its social commitment in helping people with heart conditions.
The interviewer was Catherine Paterson, from Caithness Voluntary Group. The heart group have embarked on a new fundraising programme to replenish their coffers after a busy few months which saw them donate equipment with a value of �10,000 to local GP surgeries and Caithness General Hospital.
Their next fundraiser is an illustrated talk by Bob Murdoch, who embarked on a testing swimming programme, folowing heart surgery, two years ago, to regain his fitness. The programme started with swims in the sea off Thurso and Scrabster, initially in chilling temperatures, culminating in a one-mile charity swim in Loch Ness.
The talk takes place at the canteen of Caithness General Hospital, on Wednesday night. Tea and biscuits will be served, admission �2.
