Butterflies of Caithness
Friday, August 2nd, 1pm -3pm
Come for a walk in the Dunnet Forest and Dunes with our local Butterfly transect recorder Philip Wright to discover all about the fascinating Butterflies of this area, one of the best sites in Caithness. A short presentation will be followed by Butterfly identification and recording as part of the UK Big Butterfly Count. Please bring stout footwear.
Meet at Seadrift Centre, Dunnet

John O�Groats to Duncansby Walk
Wednesday 7st August, 2pm � 4.30pm
Enjoy a guided walk with the local Ranger from John O�Groats to the famous stacks of Duncansby Head. Hopefully we may see a whale or dolphin or two and lots of plants and birds on route. Some rough walking involved and suitable walking gear required.

Ship to Stroma
Thursday 8th August, 09.45am � 3pm (approximately)
This is your opportunity to sail to explore the fascinating Island of Stroma directly from the Scottish mainland at Gills Bay. Join the ranger and learn about the flowers, birds and seals of Stroma. This is also an opportunity to learn more about the history of the only island belonging to Caithness. Bring walking gear and pack lunch.

Come for a walk in the Dunnet Forest with our local Caithness county moth recorder Neil Money to discover all about the fascinating moths of this area. A short presentation will be followed by moth identification and trapping as part of the National Moth Night. Please bring stout footwear.
