New depute area conveners sought for Children�s Hearings Panel in Highland and Moray

The Children�s Hearings Panel is seeking two new depute conveners for the Highland and Moray area. The deadline for applications is Friday 9 August.

The deputes will lead the Area Support Team and act on behalf of the National Convener to ensure that Panel members are well equipped, supported and represented. These individuals will support the Area Convener already identified to lead the Highland and Moray Area Support Team.

Experienced serving panel members and Children�s Panel Advisory Committee (CPAC) members have already been recruited to the AST to support the Area Convener and Depute in their roles.

The applicants should have a good understanding of the Children�s Hearings System and a commitment to making a difference to outcomes and experiences for the children, young people and families within it. They should be able to demonstrate strong leadership, assessment, problem solving and communication skills and be able to regularly volunteer their time.

The successful applicants will receive induction and further training, ongoing support from Children�s Hearing Scotland. All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
