Marie Curie To Set Up New Fund Raising Group In Thurso

I am writing to call on all Thurso people to help Marie Curie Cancer Care to set up a new volunteer Fundraising Group for Thurso.

Fundraising Groups make an enormous difference locally by helping to raise the vital funds we need so that Marie Curie Nurses can continue to provide free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes. Over the past year we set up new groups in Strathspey, Mid-Ross, Isle of Mull and just last month we formed our most northerly group in Orkney The groups are now the local face of Marie Curie and raising considerable funds for our nurses independantly.

By being part of Marie Curie’s new Fundraising Group, you will help by organising fundraising activities and collections in the local community, encouraging new volunteers and businesses to help the charity, as well as supporting Marie Curie’s major fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party.
