REDUNDANCY SUPPORT IN THURSO FOR ICETECH STAFF
25th April 2013
The Scottish Governments national redundancy service, PACE, brings partners together to help redundant staff
ICETECH staff who have been made redundant are invited to an event to help them move in to further employment or training.
The event takes place on May 3, from 1-3pm in the Pentland Hotel and has been organised by the Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE), the Scottish Governments initiative for responding to redundancy situations which is led by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) in conjunction with other partners.
Alistair Ferrier of Skills Development Scotland, who helped organise this PACE event, said: Dealing with redundancy can be a daunting experience. In order to respond to these tough times, and help those who have been made redundant, it is vital that we provide the workforce with the necessary support.
Skills Development Scotland supported by national and local partners, delivers PACE, which is the Scottish Governments national initiative for responding to redundancy situations.
The local PACE team will work closely with peopleaffected by redundancy and will provide skills development and employability support in an aim to minimise the time they are out of work.
Face to face help and advice will be on offer at the upcoming PACE event from organisations including Skills Development Scotland, Jobcentre Plus, HM Revenue and Customs, and the local Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to offer support.
An invitation is extended to anyone in the area who has been affected by this or indeed any other redundancy.
