Caithness Science Festival 2013 has been another great success with more people than ever attending the Family Fun Day to end the week of events in schools throughout the county. The family fun day show-cased many scientific ideas and groups.
The great thing about the fun days are the chance to try things out and to enter competitions. Young people were presented with certificates for their entries in competitions. Demonstrations highlighted many aspects of how science affects our lives.
The aim to enthuse young people with ideas of how they can think about a career in science, technology and maths has succeeded yet again.
Caithness youngsters are being exposed to these ideas in way that is hard to do in school alone. Well done to the committee of Science 03 for their hard work in bringing the whole week together and for the final fun day.
