Wick got Christmas going with the annual Fun Day. Christmas Carols from Wick Choral, Jolly tunes from Pentland Brass with comic action from Wick Players. The liveliest action cam from the ladies from a local zumba group calling themselves Wick's Christmas Zumbettes for the day.

Wick shops had many special offers on for the day so it was a great day to find a bargain. Eateries were busy and Wick Pipe Band had plenty on offer at the Pipe Band Hall throughout the day.

At 4.00pm Wick Gala Queen switch on the lights taking us into the festive season.

Next weekend Thurso gets into action with the lights switch on at St Johns Square on Friday from 6.30pm and fun day on Saturday - check the "What's On" section for all the events.
