The new wick Joint Campus officially opened in 2018 and had been occupied sometime before that.

The Wick Joint Campus consists of -

The new Wick High School:
General classrooms - all to a very high standard of ICT provision with new furnishings
Specialist facilities for art and design, physical education, music, drama, home economics, business and computer education, technology and science
Specialist vocational provision for practical craft skills, professional cookery and hair and beauty
Specialist provision for assisted support needs
Collaborative and cooperative break out space to promote a variety of teaching methods
Hall as part of flexible use space
Kitchen, dining and café facilities
One full sized synthetic pitch
One large grassed area, with 2 full sized football pitches, 400m running track, rugby pitch
Car and cycle parking, drop off area and bus bays

This facility will be managed and operated by High Life Highland (HLH), who will also manage community access to other areas in the schools out of school hours.
Public library
Swimming pool with floating floor, and separate toddler pool
Community have access to school areas, for example, PE areas, hall, the street out of school hours

Pupils Plant Trees To Improve Wick RiversideThumbnail for article : Pupils Plant Trees To Improve Wick Riverside
Recently pupils and leaders from Step Forward Wick Youth had the opportunity to help out in our local community.   Along with Wick Development Trust and The Countryside Rangers they managed to plant 300 trees along the Wick Riverside to help provide some woodland areas along the riverside, giving the local wildlife shelter and a food source too.

The Wick High netball team have been showing their colours to the rest of the school with beautiful new blue versions of the school hoodies.   Mrs Bain, their long-standing coach, sourced them from local business Highland Workwear to show of the team's contribution to the school.

The S2 first team at Wick High School recently qualified for the Scottish Schools plate competition by beating Fortrose Academy and Nicolson Institute.   The wins earned them runner up spot in the North Qualifying League.  
New Chair and Vice Chair for Highland Youth Parliament
The Highland Youth Parliament (HYP) has voted in a new Chair, Innes Morgan from Thurso and Vice Chair, Isaac Beckley from Glenurquhart, near Inverness.   The Highland Youth Parliament is the elected parliament for young people in the Highlands with over 100 elected members via schools and youth forums across the area.

In the second year of running in the SQA's Award in Cyber Security Fundamentals Wick High is delighted that 37 S3 pupils received the award.   After spending two months learning about cyber security threats and how to defend against them, pupils sat an exam that covered both the theory and practical elements of the course.
