In order to raise money to volunteer I’m training for and running the Glasgow Great Scottish Run half-marathon on the 2nd October 2016.

I plan to fly out to Nepal in March 2017, and to volunteer through the company GVI, where I’ll spend 6 weeks switching between helping with disaster relief following the 2015 earthquake and focusing on helping out small communities through improving education and educational facilities, and exploring the country and taking part in different experiences.
This is something I support strongly and would absolutely love to take part in. Unfortunately, in order to provide the best support and training they can, volunteering through an organisation costs money. These costs allow them to provide in-country support and emergency help while I am exploring both Nepal, as well as all necessary project equipment, materials, and training from experienced staff to allow me to use my time as best as I can.
Your help would mean a lot to me, and would allow me to take part in the extremely important work being done in this country.
