St Fergus Gallery and the Science 03 are delighted to invite you and your friends to visit the gallery to use a microscope to get a closer look at various objects and project the images onto a big wall. There will be a good selection of objects you can use but feel free to bring some of your own - be it feathers, sea shells or even a wing of a butterfly. If you wish, you will also have an opportunity to make small works of art based on the microscopic images.

This fun activity is very suitable for children of any ages as well as adults. Schools are very welcome to visit too. Children must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.

The microscope will be for your use at the St Fergus Gallery in co-operation with the Caithness Science Festival from Wednesday 9th March - Saturday 9th April 2016.

You will be also able to see in our St Fergus Foyer Gallery an exhibition of childrens wonderful drawings of what they aspire to be when they grow up. Children from P1-P7 from all around Caithness took part in this competition. This lovely exhibition was also organised by the Caithness International Science Festival (Science 03) and will be with us from 9th March to 2nd April 2016.
