Funding Opportunity - Live Literature Funding Open to Applications (Scotland)

Funding is available across Scotland towards the cost of hiring authors, poets, writers, storytellers and illustrators to attend public literary events, such as readings, workshops and residencies. Events should be interesting and imaginative and show a commitment to the promotion of readership and writing. Organisations must work with individuals that are included on the Live Literature author database.

Funding can cover 50% of the authors fee, plus their travel and expenses. Organisations have to pay the Trust 50% of the writers fee (£75) plus VAT (a total of £90) for every session that is funded.

Schools, libraries, community groups, arts organisations, local festivals, writers/readers groups, hospitals, prisons and organisations that work with adults and/or children with disabilities are eligible to apply.

The Fund is open to applications for events taking place from 1 April 2016 to 31 December 2016 with a deadline of 27 January 2016 (noon).
