Active Communities Fund Launched In Highland

26th March 2014

The HTSI have been approached by the People’s Health Trust to support them in raising the profile of their recently launched Active Communities Fund. Funding is available to community groups from specific communities in Caithness, Sutherland, Easter Ross, Inverness, Nairn, Lochaber and Skye.

If you have an idea, or know someone who does, about how your local community could be event better then this fund could help you to make that idea a reality. They will fund groups with a turnover of less than £350k a year, not more than six month reserves and where the total application is not just for capital purchases.

You need to be able to demonstrate how the project is locally developed, supported and delivered. Examples of previously funded groups are computer groups for older people and community volunteer drivers to support isolated people. The HTSI and its partners will be holding funding seminars in Wick, Thurso, Invergordon, Fort William and Inverness over the next few weeks but if you aren’t able to come along or would like to know more information now you can contact the HTSI on any of the details below or go to our website. www.htspinterface.org.uk
