‘The Caithness Project’ by FYI at Ormlie Community Association
Throughout March

FYI stands for ‘Fun Young and Involved’ – a group of children aged 5-12 who meet regularly with Caroline Saxon, Young People’s Co-ordinator at Ormlie Community Association. ‘The Caithness Project’ is FYI’s response to thinking about where they live – the places, people and wildlife that surround them – including a visit here to Caithness Horizons. The resulting work will be on display in the Café at Caithness Horizons throughout March.

Special Events

Wedding Fayre
Sunday 9th March, 11am - 3pm

We will be holding our annual wedding fayre with over 20 exhibitors offering ideas for your big day including everything from the dress to your favours. Come along and see an exciting new area in the Museum, set up to demonstrate how it could look on your wedding day. In addition our Café will be offering a delicious afternoon tea menu!

Peter’s Pals
Peter’s Pals our Young Curators Club now has an official shiny new logo! The logo has been designed by the very talented illustrator George Mackay. George has been working with the Young Curators Club to design child friendly interpretation panels for the Museum.

Join fibre artist Joanne B. Kaar and make your own top hat inspired by the Museum’s Robert Dick Collection. Pre-booking is essential.
