Noel and Bill have been taking a few photos in the garden and out around the country lanes. The variety of bees and wasps in Noel Donaldson's garden has given him plenty of photo opportunities. Here is a selection of them from the bumbles to the paper wasps which tried to squat in a bird box.

Bill has been walking regularly along the road near his house this summer and snapped a few flowers and the odd bee or moth.

There is undoubtedly a great deal to see in Caithness at this time of year and almost any place you look you can see flowering plants being visited by bees and other insects. Take walk out and see for yourself.
