More Funding Opportunities
7th August 2019
Caithness Voluntary Group have just published the following opportunities in their latest newsletter.
Caithness and North Sutherland Fund
The CNSFund was established by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, DSRL and Dounreay Stakeholder Group to distribute a £4m funding package to community organisations for projects that will increase the attractiveness of Caithness and North Sutherland as a place to live, work and invest. This £4m package is being provided by the NDA as a result of the low-level waste facility built at the Dounreay site. The NDA provided £1m at the start of construction in 2011 and the fund receives further £300,000 instalments per year from 2014 until 2023. The funding is distributed in line with the NDA's socio-economic policy for the area and it is an objective of the fund to support improvement activity that demonstrates additionality with particular emphasis on achieving environmental, social, cultural and infrastructure improvements.
The next assessment round application form closing date is Friday 27th September 2019. Applicants should submit their enquiry form on the fund's website well in advance of the closing date to allow them sufficient time to then complete their application form.

Charity Digital Exchange
Charity Digital Exchange (formerly CTXchange) is a tech donation programme from Charity Digital in partnership with the not-for-profit technology capacity building organisation TechSoup.
Through the programme, eligible UK-based charities are able to request donated technology products from partners such as Adobe, Cisco and Microsoft. To access donations, charities must pay an administrative fee per product to cover the costs of delivering the programme. Whilst the administrative fees vary, charities will still make savings of up to 96 per cent on typical retail prices.
Charities have access to a wide array of educational resources through the Charity Digital Exchange programme, which helps them best choose, implement and use the available technology.
TechSoup works in partnership with an international network of NGOs to administer a global technology donation programme.
