New Funding Opportunities for community charities/clubs/groups/activities

I wanted to let you know about new funding opportunities that have become available recently. Below are the links to the relevant web pages which have summaries of the Trusts/Grants available and how to apply. If you need any assistance with applications please do not hesitate to contact me. Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust

The Trust gives grants to registered charities that work in the UK. They focus on a single category per year, and publish details of this category at least a year in advance. In 2019 they are funding children and young people. Round 1 and Round 2 2019 relate specifically to Children from 0-11 years, and Grant Round 3 and Grant Round 4 related specifically to Young People from 11 to 25 years. Priority is given to projects focussing on child exploitation, mentoring and support and clubs and activities. They will prioritise awarding grants to projects that address mental health.

The Robertson Trust - Wee Grants for Wee Groups

The Robertson Trust have launched a new pilot, Wee Grants for Wee Groups, which is open to organisations with an annual income of up to £100,000. In a first for the Trust, constituted groups with charitable aims, as well as registered charities can apply.

They expect the pilot to last for six months, during which time eligible organisations can apply for from £500 to £2,000 and projects/services can be fully funded, providing the work is a good fit with their funding strands.

It awards funding to registered charities in the following areas: education; environmental protection; citizenship & community development; arts, culture & science; prevention of poverty & disadvantage. They particularly welcome requests that will strongly address their strategic priorities: Increasing our support to environmental programmes; tackling disadvantage and promoting equal opportunities especially projects that will enable young people to realise their potential.

Sustrans Scotland - Places for Everyone

The aim of Places for Everyone is to create safe, attractive, healthier places by increasing the number of trips made by walking, cycling and wheeling for everyday journeys.

Cycling UK - Big Bike Revival

The Big Bike Revival is a program of local cycling and bike related events running through 2019. The aim is to get more people to gain the confidence to make local journeys by bike that replace trips typically made by motorised vehicles. They are looking for organisations to run a range of Big Bike Revival events and led cycle rides that engage locals during 2019.

Feisean Nan Gaidheal - Tasgadh

Tasgadh is a fund devolved from Creative Scotland, managed by Fèisean nan Gàidheal and open to organisations and individuals. Tasgadh is designed to provide support for traditional artists and organisations to create, perform, tour and showcase work. The fund can also support professional development and learning projects. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a positive track record in and/or professional commitment to one or more of the traditional art forms of Scottish traditional dance, music and storytelling.

Miss Agnes H Hunter's Trust - Main Grant Programme

The Agnes Hunter Trust was established to support registered charities delivering health and social welfare projects in Scotland. Applications must fit within one of the two policy areas: charities that help disabled people such as those living with learning disabilities, mental ill health, specific types of cancer, cerebral palsy, autism, visual or physical impairments; charities that assist with the education and training of disadvantaged people aged 16 years or over who have left school. This includes those whose life experiences or environment have so far denied them opportunities to develop the skills to support themselves and contribute positively to society. Priorities for the Trust include services or projects that focus on: self-management and awareness; advice, support and information; life-skills training; employability, particularly in relation to IT, literacy and numeracy; helping people participate and contribute to their community.
