THE county's third Health and Wellbeing Market is taking place at the Pulteney Centre in Wick on Saturday May 18th.
There will be more than 20 stalls offering information on health and wellbeing services that can be accessed in Caithness.

The event is being organised by Caithness Health Improvement Forum with Caithness Voluntary Group and Pulteneytown People's Project and will run from 11am to 3pm.

The aim is to showcase the wide range of opportunities available locally to benefit general health as well as mental, spiritual, emotional and social wellbeing.

Stallholders will include Befriending Caithness, LGOWIT, Caithness Rural Transport, NHS Health Improvement, Home-Start and Home Energy Scotland.

Caithness Music will be having a music-making for health stall as well as a brass band and handbell ringing during the day.

Hearing and Sight Care will offer hearing screening and do some BSL - "learn to fingerspell".  

There will be yoga taster sessions and acupuncture.

PPP will have information about its service assisting people with benefits and budgeting, as well as a service that it starting soon for older people in the community.

Some exciting news that CVG are moving premises.   After nearly 20 years at Telford house we will, from the start of April, be renting space at the Pulteney Centre in Wick.

Caithness Voluntary Group Success With Loneliness Funding Award
Caithness Voluntary Group is one of 53 projects awarded a share of £3.2 million fund set up to tackle loneliness by Scottish Government.   Activities delivered by the organisations include community choirs, walking football, Men's Sheds and volunteering opportunities.

Funding Opportunity Reminder From Caithness Voluntary Group
Beatrice Partnership Fund has reopened for the final time.  The fund supports projects that are based in the East Coast of Caithness and Sutherland plus the following Community Council areas in Rosshire, Edderton, Tain, Inver and Tarbat.
