Cafes in communities - survey

1st February 2019

Community Food and Health Scotland (CFHS) wants to hear from anyone involved in running a cafe in a local community (geographical or shared interest) run for local people and/or by local people.

In partnership with Senscot and cafe networks across Scotland, CFHS wants to highlight the contribution that cafes make in supporting communities' health and wellbeing, and find out what would help make sure cafes in communities are, and continue to be, seen as valuable assets and sustainable.

Complete the short survey at - http://surveys.healthscotland.com/index.php/946744/lang-en

Also, CFHS and Newcastle University are hosting a community cafe event on Friday 1st March, in Edinburgh. More details will follow.

The event will feature findings from the Newcastle University report on research from the REfUSE community cafe in Newcastle, Identifying Social and Community Impacts in the work of community cafes. You can access the report at.

The event will also look at the work CFHS did last year with six cafes on self-evaluation. You can find out about this work on the CFHS website - https://www.communityfoodandhealth.org.uk/2018/self-evaluation-programme-for-community-cafes/
