Foosum Fingers, outdoor messy play, Newtonhill croft forest
Have you got a toddler that enjoys exploring outside? Come along for outdoor fun with multi-sensory play activities. Newton hill cottage to be used for hand-washing and toilets. Adults and children should be dressed for the weather and bring their own snack.

Clowns of the Ocean
Enjoy an illustrated talk on an ‘Introduction to the East Caithness Seabirds' over a cuppa & home-made baking. Embark on a short walk to view a fascinating puffin colony on a seastack from the coast. Please meet at the Laidhay tearoom, north of Dunbeath. Binoculars would be useful.
Time: 7.30pm - 9pm Booking ref: 000831WICK
It costs £9.73 per visitor to operate our Countryside Ranger Service. We make no charge for this event but we rely on your donations to help us protect our Highland wildlife and heritage. There is a charge of £3 per person for coffee/cake.

Date: Monday 18th June Area: Caithness
Sarclet to Castle of Old Wick
A cliff top walk of 8km from the old herring fishing station at Sarclet to the Castle of Old Wick. With abundant birdlife, stunning coastal scenery including two natural bridges, sea caves and stacks. Walking boots/outdoor clothing required. Packed lunch required. Good level of fitness. Not suitable for dogs or children under 18 years of age. Anyone able to assist with return transport, please contact Marina directly.

Snappy Days - Photography Workshop
Enjoy an illustrated talk by local photographer Ken Crossan on Caithness Flora and learn some tricks of the trade. Practice taking some shots at the beautiful Coronation Meadow and improve you plant identification skills along the way. Meet at the Seadrift Centre. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, and of course your camera!

Over forty members of the public attended a series of high profile guided walks on the peatlands of Caithness and Sutherland led by the Highland Council Rangers.   Andy Summers, Senior Countryside Ranger said: "We saw lots of exciting wildlife including great views of a peregrine falcon, breeding greenshanks and red-throated divers, dragonflies hunting around bog pools.
