Towheads Travelling Through Wick

6th April 2016

Photograph of Towheads Travelling Through Wick

Subsea 7 will be moving the final two towheads for the Premier Catcher project from Wick Harbour to Wester Site over the next few days. It is planned that the first towhead will travel the route through town just after 9.00am on Thursday 7 April 2016 , with the remaining towhead following on Sunday 10th April 2016 - exact timing will depend on how the Police direct proceedings.

As usual, due to the extreme width of all the structures we require the route (identified by cones) to be clear of all cars and other vehicles.

To assist car owners we have modified the timings of cone placement. If we intend to travel through town we will place cones out on the previous day. Subsequently if there is a gap period to the next movement we will remove the cones and replace them the day before we intend to move the next structure. Simply stated: cones out - we move next day, no cones - no move planned.

We would like to thank you for your continued support, co-operation and patience which helps Subsea 7 to operate and employ high numbers of Caithness people at Wester.

Apologies again for any inconvenience caused.
Willie Watt For and on behalf of Subsea 7
