Wick Community Council has set up a meeting after one in February had to be cancelled when Elaine Mead did not travel due to bad weather forecast. Thursday 17th March 2016 at 6.30pm in Pulteney Centre (Smith Function Room)

A new off-shoot group of the community council has been started following a meeting on 3rd March 2016.

Members of a new campaign group to fight for improved health services in Caithness met for the first time last night.
Almost exactly 10 years ago, the North Action Group secured victory against NHS Highland plans to downgrade Caithness General Hospital. Now we feel it is time the community fought back once again.

If you would like to join, please email Nicola Sinclair at secretary@wickcommunitycouncil.org

We will meet again on Thursday 24th March at 7pm in Pulteney Centre.

Membership is open to anyone, anywhere, and no experience is necessary, except a willingness to help!

We're also looking for peoples stories (good and bad!), so please keep commenting on the Facebook page or drop them a line.

NHS Highland Chief Executive Elaine Mead is attending a special meeting of Wick Community Council on Thursday 17th March at 6.30pm in the Pulteney Centre.

To observe, ask a question or share a story, again email Nicola.

Please keep sharing, tagging friends and commenting to help spread the word. People power will win this!
