A Bond themed charity ball taking place in Wick this November is set to raise hundred of pounds for local causes.

The event at Mackays Hotel on 7th November has been arranged to mark the launch of the latest Bond movie 'Spectre' and will see all monies raised going to SiMBA (Simpson's Memory Box Appeal), Wick RNLI and Caithness and Sutherland Women's Aid.

On the night, guests will be treated to a four course meal, live entertainment and of course a James Bond special ‘shaken not stirred' Martini.

Murray Lamont, Owner of Mackays Hotel and Wick RNLI Chairman, said: "It's a great honour and pleasure to be able to host an event like this and to give something back to our local community. The charity ball is something we have done now for a number of years and each year we choose a different charity. The charities chosen this year are close to our hearts and we hope that the event will raise a significant amount for each of our chosen charities this year."

A spokesperson for CASWA (Caithness and Sutherland Womens’ Aid) said: "We are delighted to hear that we are one of the chosen charities to benefit from the Bond themed Ball. It’s always great to know that we are supported locally and we would like to take this opportunity to thank both the organisers and the participants. We wish them all a fun filled evening."
