Tea Dances To Raise Fund For Samaratins Caithness

21st September 2015

Afternoon Tea Dance.

If you like to dance, listen to music or even both Why not come along to Dancing Strictly in aid of Samaritans Caithness.

Our Afternoon Tea Dances will start in October on Friday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm and will be held in the Norseman and Pentland Hotels. Starting in the Norseman on 16th and the Pentland on 30th October. All proceeds will go to Samaritans Caithness.

Andrew Mackay of the Norseman and Pentland Hotels has generously offered to provide the premises and the catering as his donation to Samaritans. A group of local musicians have offered to supply the music. Caithness Samaritans are extremely grateful to them and Andrew for their support

Our volunteers provide an essential listening service for people who feel suicidal or need someone to listen to their problems and worries or perhaps just someone to talk to. All donations to Caithness Samaritans are kept in the county to fund the running of their Centre in Thurso , which has been operating for over thirty years handling between five and six thousand calls a year

If this initiative is successful Samaritans intend to continue on a monthly basis.
