Have you taken part in the Highland Third Sector Census yet?

It only takes a few minutes!

Highland Third Sector Interface are working with CVG, CVS North and VGES on a census, to prove to others what people in Caithness & Sutherland already know - that volunteers, local and national charities, and all sorts of local organisations are central to our economy and society at every level.
Highland Third Sector Interface

We are calling on EVERYONE - from lunch clubs, Community Councils, Churches, sports clubs and brownies to social enterprises and large national charities - to fill out a census. It only takes a few minutes!

We currently lack valuable information about the Highland Third Sector: its size, area of influence, economic activity, amount of volunteers and/or employed people and what type of work they do. This census and subsequent report will help us make the case for the Highland Third Sector to policy makers at different levels and enable better local planning. Its sole purpose is to promote and foster the Third Sector in the local area and across the Highlands.  In short, we need to know about all the good the third sector brings to stop it being under-appreciated, under-funded and under-supported while its role in supporting the public sector gets ever-larger.

The process has already started in the North Highlands and will run until the 15th of May.
