Police in Caithness appeal for information following death of sheep near Lybster

17th November 2014

Police in Caithness are investigating an incident that took place between Friday 14 November and Saturday 15 November 2014, whereby four sheep died and two were injured after being attacked on land at Reisgill, south of Lybster.

The attack appears to have been carried out by another animal, possibly dog/dogs. Police would urge anyone with any information regarding the incident to contact them on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police would also like to remind dog owners of their responsibility to ensure they know where their dogs are at all times and take the necessary steps to prevent them wandering around freely.
