Have your say on Highland school meals

3rd November 2014

Pupils, parents and carers are being asked to make their views known on Highland Council's schools meals service.

The Council's Care and Learning Service are carrying out an online survey to gather the views of primary and secondary pupils who eat school meals and parents that pay for the meals.

The short survey is online at: www.highland.gov.uk/schoolmealsurvey and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Councillor Alasdair Christie, Chair of the Council's Education, Children and Adult Services Committee said: "The Care and Learning Services is constantly looking to improve the service and options that they offer. The intentions are that the survey results will help staff to celebrate achievements, identify any concerns and make more improvements."

He added: "In January 2015 free school meals will be provided to all Primary 1 - 3 pupils. Information from the survey results will also help to indicate ways that the Council can help cater for new pupils who may start to have school meals."

The survey is also being given to all primary and secondary schools for pupils to have their say. The closing date for taking part in the survey is 28 November 2014.
